Business Apprentice of the Year!

Today we celebrate the success of  our very own Dan Melville being awarded ‘Business Apprentice of the Year’.

Held at Mottram Hall on Thursday the 1st of February, Maxim Training celebrated the achievements of their candidates. Dan had recently completed his Level 3 Business NVQ at Macclesfield College and was therefore put forward for an award along with many others who had attended the event.

The evening kicked off with a champagne reception at 6pm followed by canapes and opening speeches from previous students. Shortly after, the winners were announced for each category, with Dan being one of those mentioned.

Here at Edge Projects we could not be prouder of one of our youngest members on the team.

Congratulations Dan, the future looks bright!

Examination Success!

Edge Projects are celebrating the success of their two youngest employees in their latest examinations this week!

Dan Melville, 20, who joined the company in November 2016, passed his Level 3 NVQ in Business Admin and has now gone on to do his Level 6 NVQ with 3B Training in Residential Construction Management.

Chelsey Dhillon, 19, who joined the company in March 2017, passed her Foundation course in Quantity Surveying with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is now going on to do her Level 3 NVQ with the NHBC in Construction Contracting Operations.

Pool Of The Year

Luxury Design and Build Specialist, Edge Projects Ltd, in association with Portrait Pools were the winners of the ‘2017 Outstanding Pool of the Year’ at the SPATA Pool Industry Awards.

The distinction was awarded for the stunning indoor to outdoor pool installation at Lyme, Eden Park, Alderley Edge.

The major feature being a fully sinking boom walkway / wall linking the indoor with an outdoor pool to form a magnificent 18.0m x 10.0m L-shaped pool with adjacent 2.4m x 2.4m elevated outdoor spa which took 9 months to complete.

Edge Projects Managing Director, Kevin Pickersgill commented;

“We were delighted that this spectacular installation won the award. The design and engineering of the project was always adventurous. Its creation would not have been possible without the excellent input from our specialist subcontractor, Portrait Pools, and equally adventurous clients, who are thrilled with the outcome”.

2017 Grafters Awards

Edge Projects were recently awarded with a Grafters Awards at the 2017 NW Construction Industries event which took place in May at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester.

Construction Manager, Daniel Challinor, attended the event and collected the award for “Best Boutique House Builder”, coming out heads and shoulders above the rest in the competitive category.

Grafters is the only organisation solely dedicated to networking & celebrating the North West Construction Industry and they raised over £2,500 for the chosen charity ‘Kidscan’, so a fantastic night was had by all.
